Budding creatives make time for old age

Alison Blyth, a veterinary nurse at Derbyshire based Ambivet, is the talented winner of the ‘Make time for old age’ creative campaign for the nutraceutical supplement, Cani Flex Senior. The competition was run by manufacturer, Natural VetCare Prescribed and marketing partner Avacta Animal Health, and Alison’s winning entry has already been published in the January issue of VNTimes and is on the back cover of next week’s Veterinary Times (VT47.05).

Alison (pictured) also scooped £250 of hotel vouchers for her efforts, and is delighted with her win: “Having older dogs myself I am always on the lookout for products to benefit them. So when I saw Cani Flex Senior’s approach I was inspired to have a go at the caption competition.

“Winning was a lovely surprise and I hope to find a hotel that allows dogs so they can enjoy the prize with me,” adds Alison.

Vet Times readers were invited to enter by offering alternative ‘thought bubbles’ for the Cani Flex Senior advertising campaign.  Avacta’s Johanna Gourlay MRCVS explains: “One of a specialist range of nutraceutical supplements for skin, joints and old age recently launched in the UK, Cani Flex Senior has been developed by Natural VetCare using unique ingredients and formulations.”

“It’s important to make senior dog health a priority, as signs of aging can be distressing for both the dog and their owner. Cani Flex Senior is more than just a simple joint supplement, it contains a unique formula targeting brain, heart and joint health, providing ultimate 360° support for older dogs.”

“The idea of the competition was to produce ‘thought bubbles’ with suggestions of scenarios that vets and VNs see regularly in practice,” adds Johanna.

Two runners up in the competition won a luxury hamper each for their entries. Anthony Bower MRCVS of Wagtails Veterinary Centre in North Yorkshire was first runner up; and second runner up was Charlotte Day MRCVS from Bristol Zoo Gardens Vet Dept.
