Internal progression has created a rare opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon, with both a strong commercial and clinical background, to utilise their veterinary knowledge in an exciting and diverse management role.

Avacta Animal Health, part of the Avacta Group, is an independent UK veterinary laboratory centred on the work-up and management of allergic disease through evidence-based solutions. We pride ourselves on our innovation, supportive working environment and exemplary quality of service. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills who consistently works to a high level of accuracy. The role requires the ability to work efficiently both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with great attention to detail.

Key duties include: management of the Technical Support Team; delivering technical training and support internally and directly to customers; assisting the marketing team, both through the generation of content and technical proofing; ensuring the regulatory requirements of the business are met in the capacity as WQP (Wholesale Dealer Qualified Person).

The position is a full time, permanent role (part-time may be considered) and is home-based but with moderate travel requirements including to the Wetherby office (Covid-19 dependent). Some additional travel will also be required. The candidate must be registered with the RCVS and an additional post-graduate qualification in a relevant field would be desirable.
